Peshawar Zalmi won the Pakistan Super League 2026 final by beating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday. [1]
Aaron Hardie starred with 4-27 and then made an unbeaten 56 off 39 balls as Zalmi chased 130 and reached 130-5 in 15.2 overs. Hyderabad were bowled out for 129 in 18 overs after Zalmi held their nerve late in the chase. [1]
Babar Azam said the title was "a very big achievement for me, for Peshawar Zalmi and all the fans" after lifting his first PSL trophy as captain. He also finished as the tournament's leading run-scorer and matched Fakhar Zaman's PSL record of 588 runs in one edition. [1]
Hardie said after the final that it was "just a great game of cricket" and praised Hyderabad's fast start. "Kingsmen came out of the blocks really hard. They've certainly had a lot of momentum from the last couple of games and they carried that in, but I'm really proud of the way the boys were able to fight back," he said. [1]
The win gave Peshawar their second PSL title. [1]
