If you write or report consistently, we'd love to review your application to join Rainsnews. Every application is reviewed by our editorial team — we look hardest at your existing published work.
What we look at
- 3 publicly-accessible portfolio links (anywhere — media sites, Substack, Medium, personal blog)
- A short self-introduction (≥ 50 characters): your beat and why you want to join
- Optional: press card, journalist association membership, university page — anything that helps verify your identity
Review process
- Submit → editorial team reviews within 7 business days
- If approved you receive contributor credentials and can submit drafts via the dashboard
- Drafts go through editorial review before publishing; your byline is permanent
