Corrections Policy

If you spot a factual error in a Rainsnews article, please tell us. We will verify and correct within a reasonable timeframe.

How to submit a correction request

Email [email protected] with:

• The article URL
• The specific location of the error (paragraph or citation number)
• What the correct fact is, and where you sourced it

English or Chinese both accepted.

Process

1. We acknowledge within 48 hours of receipt.
2. We verify against the original sources. If those sources have themselves been updated or corrected, we sync the change.
3. Substantive errors: a "Correction" note is appended to the article body, dated and describing what was changed.
4. Non-substantive (typos, formatting): silently fixed without a note.
5. Disputed claims we cannot verify: marked "under review" at the relevant paragraph.

Takedown requests

If you are the subject of an article (or their legal representative) and believe it infringes your rights or contains serious errors, email [email protected] with proof of identity. We respond within 72 hours.

Transparency

All applied corrections remain visible on the article page; we never silently delete a correction note.
