The Summer Game Fest 2026 live show took place June 5 from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, streaming globally on YouTube and Twitch. Hosted by Geoff Keighley and Lucy James, the two-hour event featured new game reveals and world premiere trailers. Confirmed titles at Summer Game Fest included Star Wars: Zero Company, a tactical shooter from Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment; Clutch by Maverick Games; Blood Message from NetEase; and new content for Dead by Daylight, Guild Wars 2, and Among Us. Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the final part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake series, set to release on all platforms in spring 2027. Capcom unveiled a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica, called Resident Evil Veronica, coming to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X in 2027. A new Cuphead game titled Mighty Cuphead Adventure was announced, described as a homage to classic game eras. Creative Assembly and Sega revealed Alien Isolation 2, set on Kurasaki Station for PS5, Switch 2, PC, and Xbox Series X. Fumito Ueda's Project Robot was unveiled as Gen Atlas, arriving on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X [3].

The Day of the Devs 2026 indie showcase streamed June 6, highlighting new indie titles including Blood Dungeon, Tenebris Somnia, Mr. Records, a new Trine game, and a Yooka-Laylee kart racer [8].

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 streamed live June 7 starting at 10 a.m. PDT. Microsoft Gaming's new CEO Asha Sharma led the event, succeeding Phil Spencer. Gears of War: E-Day was heavily featured, announcing an Xbox Series X exclusive release date of October 8, 2026, with no PS5 version planned. The Halo: Combat Evolved remake, called Halo: Campaign Evolved, was scheduled for July 28, 2026, including three new missions. Persona 4 Revival remake was confirmed for February 18, 2027. Xbox also showcased Fable with a new trailer focused on the villainous anti-hero Isabel, played by Hayley Atwell, releasing February 23, 2027 [9, 10, 11, 12].

Microsoft confirmed multiple titles coming to Xbox Game Pass, including Fallout 76: Infestations (June 2, 2026), Sea of Thieves: Custom Seasons (June 18, 2026), Halo: Campaign Evolved (July 28), Gears of War: E-Day (October 6), Persona 4 Revival (February 18, 2027), and Fable (February 23, 2027) [11].

Paramount Games Studio, a new unified AAA studio created with Skydance, announced titles including Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and an untitled Star Wars game. Bloober Team and Paramount announced Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a sci-fi psychological thriller set in the Star Trek universe featuring Michelle Forbes reprising her role as Ro Laren [9, 6, 7].

Halo: Campaign Evolved will release July 28, 2026, followed by Gears of War: E-Day on October 8, 2026. Persona 4 Revival will launch February 18, 2027, and Fable will come out February 23, 2027 [10, 11]. Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is scheduled for spring 2027 [3].
