Rebellion and Two Brothers Pictures announced today the television adaptation of Atomfall, a 2025 action-survival game that has attracted 3.7 million players worldwide [1]. Rebellion co-founders Jason and Chris Kingsley will executive produce the series alongside Two Brothers’ Emmy and Golden Globe-winning producers and writers Harry and Jack Williams, who will also write the show [1].

Atomfall won the Best British Game award at the 2026 BAFTA Game Awards, marking its critical as well as commercial success [1]. The game is set in a British post-apocalyptic version of the Lake District, drawing inspiration from the 1957 Windscale nuclear disaster. Its narrative explores themes of Britain’s post-war identity crisis, nuclear paranoia, and the isolation of a quarantined small town [1].

Harry and Jack Williams said, "Atomfall has such a distinctive British tone and setting, and it’s been a real joy developing it alongside the Rebellion team - especially as two brothers working alongside two brothers (Jason Kingsley and Chris Kingsley). There’s something very exciting about expanding this strange, unsettling story for television" [1]. Jason and Chris Kingsley added, "We are delighted to be partnering with Two Brothers to bring the world of Atomfall to television. Harry and Jack demonstrated a clear love for Atomfall and talked about their own particular endings when they were playing the game. It is always exciting to work with people who share the same passion for creating and telling great stories and we are sure that this partnership will help to deliver a television series that will delight fans of the game and beyond" [1].

No casting or release date for the Atomfall TV series has been announced so far [1].
