Obsidian will delist the base edition of The Outer Worlds from storefronts on May 27, 2026, and make Spacer's Choice Edition the only version for sale. [1]
Players who already own the base game will keep access after the delisting date, and their copies will be upgraded to Spacer's Choice Edition at no extra cost. [1]
Spacer's Choice Edition includes the Peril on Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos expansions, along with performance and graphical improvements from the next-gen console update. The edition is priced at $59.99 now and will drop to $39.99 after May 27. [1]
The base game without DLC currently costs $29.99. [1]
Obsidian has also released the first patch in about 3 years and says a second patch is planned shortly after it, with grenades and other fixes set to be added to the game. [1]
May 27 is the date set for the storefront change and the free upgrade for existing base-game owners. [1]
