Nintendo has uploaded a special selection of tracks from the Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 original soundtrack to Spotify for a limited time, marking the first time it has published its music on a major streaming service. [1]

The upload appears to be exclusive to Spotify, with other major services including Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Qobuz not included. [1]

The timing is likely tied to marketing for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which includes music based on the game soundtrack. [1]

Nintendo already has its own music streaming app, Nintendo Music, which it launched in 2024 and which offers various game soundtracks. That app has about 1 million users, far fewer than Spotify's roughly 751 million users reported in Q4 2025. [1]

The company has not said how long the soundtrack will stay on Spotify. [1]
