A new Xbox cloud gaming controller has leaked online, revealing a much smaller design than Xbox's typical controllers. The compact shape is closer in size to a Nintendo Joy-Con, according to images first published on May 14, 2026, by Brazilian site Technoblog following an accidental leak by Brazil’s Anatel regulator [1, 2]. IGN noted the size similarity, saying it looks "尺寸甚至有点接近任天堂Joy-Con" (close to a Nintendo Joy-Con) [3].

The leaked controller retains all the standard Xbox buttons and sticks but in a more portable form factor, aiming to improve convenience for cloud gaming players [1, 3, 2]. It reportedly supports rechargeable batteries with a 500mAh capacity, USB-C charging, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and dual-band Wi-Fi for 2.4GHz and 5GHz to reduce streaming latency [1, 3, 2].

The new controller is expected to come in black and white color options [1, 3]. Xbox continues its heavy investment in cloud gaming, targeting gameplay across consoles, smart TVs, mobile devices, and PCs [1].

In addition to the cloud controller, images of the Xbox Elite 3 were also leaked the same day. This model includes extra paddles, scroll wheels, and a removable rechargeable battery, indicating a premium design aimed at competitive gamers [2].

Microsoft has not yet announced an official release date. Observers expect the company may reveal one or both new controllers at its Xbox summer event scheduled for June 2026, possibly launching later in the year [1, 2].
