Games Done Quick (GDQ) will stage a special three-day speedrunning event titled Gamescom GDQ at Gamescom 2026 in Germany from August 28 to 30, marking its first event held in Europe [1]. Programming will run each day from 10 a.m. to approximately 8 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST) [1].

The event will be open to attendees on-site at Gamescom and streamed worldwide on GDQ's official Twitch and YouTube channels [1]. It will raise funds for Gaming for Democracy, a charity initiative founded with Bertelsmann Stiftung and Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur [1]. Since its inception in 2010, Games Done Quick has raised over $60 million for charities globally [1].
