Capcom said Resident Evil Requiem's upcoming minigame is in the final stages of development and will be available only after players clear the main game. The company said the extra mode is based strictly on Requiem's combat. [1]

Koshi Nakanishi said last month that Capcom was working on the minigame and on new story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem, and said the minigame should arrive around May. [1] He described it as content for players who have already finished the main campaign and want more action, saying, "For those who've cleared the main game and are thinking, 'I still haven't had my fill of mayhem!', I think it'll be something that makes you go 'Whoo-hoo!!' and have a good time, so please sharpen your tomahawks and look forward to it." [1]

Masato Kumazawa said the unlockable content would become available only after the main story is complete. He said players who finish the game during Golden Week, which runs from 29 April to 5 May, would have the content ready to play. [1]

Capcom has not given a release date for the minigame. The company said it is still working on the new story DLC as well. [1]
