A complaint filed recently alleges men used doctored nude or scantily clad images of a woman identified as MG to advertise AI ModelForge, a platform teaching men to generate AI influencers [1]. The complaint states these men taught subscribers to use software called CreatorCore to train AI models on photos of unsuspecting young women, then post the AI-generated images on Instagram and TikTok [1].
MG, who has a little more than 9,000 Instagram followers, said she first learned last summer after receiving a direct message from a follower. The message alerted her to images and videos circulating on Instagram that appeared to show her likeness [1]. She described seeing Instagram Reels that superimposed a face resembling hers onto bodies, leaving her feeling she had no control over her own image [1].
"I never really cared to pop off and become popular on social media," MG said, adding she originally used Instagram "the way most people did when it first came out, to share their lives with the people closest to them" [1]. She noted that "if you didn’t know me well, you could very well think they were images of me," underscoring the convincing nature of the altered content [1].
MG called the situation "kind of like this reality check that I don’t have any control over my own image" [1]. The complaint against the men claims they profited by promoting AI influencer creation techniques built on non-consensual use of women’s photos.
No further court dates or responses have been reported yet. The complaint filing marks the latest legal challenge targeting the misuse of AI technology to generate explicit content without consent [1].
