Spotify has launched a limited-time anniversary recap called Spotify 20, or Party of the Year(s), that pulls together a user's full listening history in the mobile app. [1, 2, 3]
The feature shows when a user first joined Spotify, the first song they streamed, their most-streamed or favorite artist, and the total number of unique songs they have played. Spotify said the recap surfaces "never-before-shared data." [1, 2, 3]
It also builds a personalized playlist of the user's top 120 songs and shows how many times each track was played. Users can generate stat cards and share them with friends or on social media. [1, 2, 3]
Users can access the recap by searching for "Spotify 20" or "Party of the Year(s)" in the Spotify mobile app. The Verge said it is available on mobile devices and asked Spotify whether it will also appear on desktop. Engadget said the feature is only in the app and not in the web player. [1, 3]
Spotify said the feature is available worldwide for 6 weeks. TechCrunch published its report on the recap on 2026-05-12, and said Spotify had also released platform-wide lists of its most-streamed artists, albums, songs and podcasts last month as part of its 20th anniversary push. [2]
Engadget said the company is marking 20 years since it was founded, not since its 2008 launch. For now, the recap is live in the app and users can find it by searching for Spotify 20 or Party of the Year(s). [3, 1, 2]
