DoorDash said Monday it added new AI-powered tools for merchants to speed onboarding, edit dish photos and create websites from app listings. [1]

The new onboarding tool can pull details from a merchant’s website, including photos, store hours and menu items, to build a listing that owners can review and edit before publishing. [1] DoorDash also revamped its video library so merchants can tag dishes in videos for direct ordering and track total views, video-driven sales and new customer sales. [1]

For restaurant imagery, DoorDash launched AI Retouch and AI Replate. The tools can replace backgrounds, sharpen images, improve lighting and apply stylized plating effects to food photos. [1] The company also added a feature that lets restaurant owners generate a website from existing DoorDash content such as menu items and photos. [1]

DoorDash said merchants in a test of the website feature saw order conversion rates of nearly 10% on average. [1] Brian Tolkin, DoorDash’s head of merchant product, said the company is building tools that help merchants succeed from “their very first day on the platform, to every order after,” and said the aim is to remove friction so merchants can focus on food and customer service. DoorDash also added a marketing campaign builder that automates content creation, email outreach and scheduling. [1]
