Coway launched the Airmega Mighty2 air purifier at the end of March as an updated version of its original Airmega Mighty, adding broader room coverage and longer-lasting filters. [1]

The original Mighty could clean a 361-square-foot room and exchange the air 4.8 times an hour, while the Mighty2 can purify a larger area in the same period, according to Coway. [1]

The new model keeps a three-stage filtration setup with a prefilter, a carbon filter for odors and a HEPA filter for microscopic pollutants. Coway says the carbon and HEPA filters last 12 months, twice the typical lifespan in many air purifiers. [1]

The Mighty2 is CARB-certified, meaning it meets California Air Resources Board standards for indoor air-cleaning devices. Coway also changed the shape and size of the unit. It is 5 inches shorter and 3 inches less deep than the original Mighty, but weighs about 3 pounds more. [1]

The redesign gives the purifier a more square profile with pointed corners and more air-circulation openings around the body. It comes in matte white or cream, unlike the original rounded, glossy model, which was sold in black or white. [1]

Coway launched the Mighty2 on 2026-03-31, and the product is now on the market. [1]
