SCS Software said American Truck Simulator's Illinois expansion is set to release on May 14. [1]
The studio described Illinois as the latest destination for the game as it keeps expanding eastward across the United States. In its announcement, SCS said, "Illinois showcases the best of what the USA has to offer," and pointed players to Route 66, Springfield and Chicago. [1]
SCS also said the state will include the Mississippi River along Illinois' western border, along with river towns, steamboats and vineyards. The company said southern Illinois mixes cities, farmland and small towns, while the northeast is anchored by Chicago on Lake Michigan. [1]
Alongside the release-date news, SCS teased a new truck for the game. The teaser appears to show the latest version of Volvo's VNL rig. [1]
