Four Scotland supporters, made up of two father and son pairs from Bonnyrigg, Midlothian, won a $21,353.80 prize in the Boston Red Sox 50/50 raffle on Sunday at Fenway Park during the game against the Texas Rangers [1, 2, 3]. The raffle ticket cost $40.

Half of the total winnings, amounting to $10,676.90, was awarded to the men on a cheque before the Red Sox faced the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday [1, 2, 3]. Paul Innes, one of the winners, described the win as "just surreal. It's not really sunk in," adding they had to check the winning numbers multiple times during the ninth inning, saying "we had to do a double take. The numbers matched. I think we checked three or four times" [1, 2, 3].

The group are part of the Tartan Army, Scotland's devoted World Cup fanbase, whose supporters packed the Boston stadium. The win came a day after Scotland secured a 1-0 victory over Haiti in their World Cup opener on June 13 [1, 2, 3]. John Henderson, another winner, said, "What a trip we've had!" [1]. Red Sox staff noted they could not recall any previous winners from the UK or recent international winners in the raffle [1].

Scotland's next World Cup match against Morocco is scheduled for Friday at the Boston stadium in Foxborough, keeping the festival of sports in the city going [2, 3].
