Three foreign nationals will be charged in Singapore after alleged shop thefts in the transit areas of Changi Airport's Terminals 1 and 3 in April, police said on Tuesday. [1]

Police said the first case took place on April 22 in Terminal 1, where a 60-year-old man allegedly stole a pair of sunglasses worth about $750 and two cans of tea valued at about $70. [1]

In the second case on April 23, two women aged 59 and 61 allegedly stole jewellery worth about $2,740 from a store in Terminal 3. The items included bracelets, bangles, rings and a watch. [1]

Police said the two women had earlier taken two toy cars and a key chain worth about $33 from another airport store. [1]

All three suspects were arrested before they could leave Singapore on flights, and the stolen items were recovered, police said. [1]

The man will face two counts of theft in dwelling and one count of fraudulent possession of property. The two women will each face two counts of theft in dwelling. They are expected to be formally charged in court on Tuesday. [1]
