Shaw Theatres refunded more than 10 moviegoers and gave them extra movie passes after the wrong film played at its Lot One cinema in Choa Chu Kang on May 1. [1]
The company said a rare technical glitch caused the wrong title to be shown during a 10am screening, and said the fault has been fixed. [1]
A man identified as Mr Chen said he had bought a ticket for a 10am showing of Cold War 1994. He said advertisements ran for the first 10 minutes before The Super Mario Galaxy Movie began. [1]
Mr Chen said staff later told viewers around 10.45am that the scheduled film could not be shown. He said Shaw Theatres then arranged a full refund and a movie voucher so affected viewers could watch another screening for free. [1]
The affected patrons were refunded and given one complimentary movie pass for every ticket purchased, Shaw Theatres said. Mr Chen also said he did not think it was necessary to get angry and that the cinema responded politely. [1]
