Three shuttle bus services run on Saturday mornings from May 23 to July 4 to cover the later start of train services on the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) [1, 2]. The buses operate every Saturday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. during this period [1, 2].

Shuttle bus 51 runs between Woodlands North and Caldecott stations with intervals of 5 to 10 minutes [1, 2]. Shuttle bus 52 operates between Caldecott and Marina Bay stations at the same frequency of 5 to 10 minutes [1, 2]. Shuttle bus 53 runs between Marina Bay and Bayshore stations every 10 minutes [1, 2].

The fare structure for these shuttle buses follows the same pattern as the train journeys on the TEL [1, 2]. This ensures fare consistency for commuters using the alternate transport during the early Saturday hours.

This adjustment is part of a schedule change where the TEL will start service later at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays, from May 23 to July 4 [1, 2]. Additionally, the TEL will end service earlier at 11:30 p.m. on Fridays during the same period [1, 2].

Stage 5 of the Thomson-East Coast Line, which includes the new Bedok South and Sungei Bedok stations, is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026 [1, 2].

The shuttle bus services will end on July 4, when the TEL returns to its regular operating hours on Saturdays [1, 2].
