PKR launched TERAS on 2026-05-03 as an integrated election system meant to sharpen campaign readiness through data-driven strategy and artificial intelligence. [1]

The party said TERAS is a comprehensive campaign operating platform that covers voter data management, field operations and targeted communications. PKR also said the system was inspired by deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar. [1]

PKR said the platform is meant to serve as a long-term institutional backbone that can outlast single election cycles, as well as changes in leadership and personnel. In a statement, the party said: "TERAS represents an important contribution to the future of PKR, ensuring that the party’s organisational strength, data assets and strategic capabilities remain intact and continue to grow from generation to generation." [1]

The party said pilot trials at 2 locations last month showed strong potential in mapping voter sentiment. It added that further improvements are needed, especially in automated data verification. [1]

PKR said a minimum training objective is still needed so grassroots users can operate the system without advanced technical expertise. The party also said, "With the integration of technology and AI as its core, this system enables a more structured, responsive and data-driven campaign approach, while recognising that the success of any party ultimately depends on public acceptance and its ability to understand the people’s concerns." [1]

The party said it will keep refining TERAS before wider use, with training for grassroots operators and better automated verification among the next steps. [1]
