Police in Subang Jaya arrested a man and a woman after their Proton Preve tried to flee a check on the NKVE near the Subang Toll Plaza exit heading towards Shah Alam and later crashed into a black BMW at traffic lights on Persiaran Tujuan. [1]
Shamsudin Mamat said the male suspect drove dangerously before entering the Subang Jaya intersection and hitting the BMW at the traffic lights, while police found 17 transparent packets containing suspected drugs weighing about 16 grams in the car. [1]
Police said the male suspect has 21 previous criminal and drug records. They also said the female suspect is foreign and has no criminal record. [1]
Initial urine screening found the man positive for methamphetamine and the woman negative for drugs. Both suspects were detained and police obtained a three-day remand until Sunday. [1]
Police said they are investigating the case under the Penal Code, the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, and the Road Transport Act 1987. [1]
