A toddler boy fell from the fifth floor of a People's Housing Project (PPR) flat in Bandar Uda Utama, Johor Bahru, on May 14, 2026. The child was found lying in the parking area below and rushed to Sultanah Aminah Hospital for emergency treatment, where he remains in critical condition [1, 2].

The boy, reported to be either about two years old or nearly three years old, suffered serious injuries to his face, head, and neck. Medical staff also suspect internal bleeding, Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha said: "The victim suffered serious injuries to his face, head, and neck from the fall. He is currently in critical condition and is suspected to have internal bleeding." [1]

Police investigations indicate the child climbed onto a sofa near a living room window that had been left slightly open and unlocked before falling. Johor Bahru North police chief Radin Ramlan confirmed, "We believed that the victim had fallen from the windows of one of the flat units." [2]
