Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof said workers “form the foundation of Malaysia’s strength” and help safeguard economic stability amid global disruption, saying that behind every advancement lies the tireless effort of people who “never know the meaning of fatigue.” [1]
Fadillah said Malaysia has relied on energy diversification, efficient usage and stronger domestic and regional supply chains to handle external shocks with more resilience. He said every drop of sweat not only drives the economy but also supports the people’s well-being. [1]
Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said Labour Day is a time to celebrate Malaysian workers’ resilience, strength and contributions. He said the theme was “MADANI Workers, the Nation’s Pride” (‘Pekerja MADANI, KESUMA Bangsa’), and said every worker is a pillar of national development whose dignity must not be overlooked. [1]
Ramanan said economic growth must go hand in hand with social justice. He added that behind every tall building, working technology and growth figure lies the sweat, commitment and dedication of workers who underpin the nation’s progress. [1]
