The Kedah branch of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry, or KPDN, foiled an illegal diesel transfer at an open area of a Chinese cemetery in Sungai Pasir, Sungai Petani, yesterday at about 2pm after two weeks of intelligence work. [1]
Two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested while transferring diesel from a cargo lorry with an intermediate bulk container tank to a tanker lorry, KPDN said. [1]
Officers seized about 2,900 litres of diesel worth RM44,848, along with one cargo lorry, one tanker lorry, two IBC tanks and equipment used for the transfer. The total seizure was valued at RM165,248. [1]
KPDN said the two men did not have permits or authorisation to store the controlled goods. [1]
The ministry urged the public to report misuse of controlled goods through its WhatsApp line, hotline or complaint portal. [1]
