Ant International said on Wednesday at its MoMents 2026 forum in Kuala Lumpur that it has connected more than 150 million merchants with over 2 billion consumer accounts worldwide. The company said its network supports more than 300 payment methods across 220 markets and handles over 20 million transactions a day on average. [1]
The figures came as Ant International said it wants to expand its market reach in Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The company used the forum to pitch its AI-commerce payments push to merchants and partners. [1]
Ant International also unveiled an open-sourced Agentic Mobile Protocol designed to let AI agents connect securely with digital wallets, banking apps and other mobile interfaces. The company said the protocol is meant to make it easier for software agents to carry out transactions inside mobile apps while keeping connections secure. [1]
Ant Group separately rolled out a business-facing AI payment processing product through Alipay this week. The tool is intended to let merchants receive payments automatically when AI agents buy their services. Ant said the product is built for pay-per-use models and is meant to reduce the need for merchants to build their own payments infrastructure. [1]
The MoMents 2026 forum ran from Monday to Wednesday in Kuala Lumpur. Ant International’s latest product announcements came during the event, which the company used to show how it plans to connect AI agents, merchants and payment systems across its global network. [1]
