AMD has introduced a 10th Anniversary Edition of its Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor to mark the decade since the launch of the AM4 platform. [1, 2] The special edition maintains the original specifications of the 5800X3D: 8 cores and 16 threads with 96MB of L3 cache enabled by 3D V-Cache technology. [1, 2]

The original Ryzen 7 5800X3D debuted in 2022 but was discontinued alongside the Ryzen 7 5700X3D in 2025. [1, 2] The anniversary edition features packaging branded "10th Anniversary Edition: April 16th 2026, 10 Years of Innovation," which references the AM4 socket's launch date rather than the chip itself. [1]

The new edition was first spotted in June 2026 on the Indian retail site 99Deals.in, where it was listed for roughly $310 USD (30,000 INR). [1, 2] In China, the 10th Anniversary Edition carries a price of about 2100 RMB and is expected to become available in the second quarter of 2026, as confirmed by AMD. [2]

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D was previously regarded as the strongest gaming CPU on the AM4 platform due to the performance gains of its 3D V-Cache. [2] Its continued appeal lies in supporting DDR4 memory on the AM4 socket, providing a cost-effective upgrade for users not ready to switch to the newer AM5 platform which requires pricier DDR5 RAM. [1, 2]

The anniversary model is priced more aggressively compared to the original launch price and is less expensive than current AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 7700X3D chips. [1, 2] While AMD has not officially announced a wide release beyond China, the retail listing in India signals imminent broader availability. [1, 2]
