A 26-year-old lift technician died on Monday after falling about 10 metres down a lift shaft while repairing a lift at Pacific View in Stanley, Hong Kong. [1]
Police said a security guard at Block 4 of the luxury estate on Tai Tam Road reported the accident at 2.40pm. Rescue personnel pulled the worker from the shaft, but he was certified dead at the scene. [1]
The cause of the accident was under investigation, police said. [1]
