A 67-year-old driver surnamed Miu was arrested after his car crashed at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge border checkpoint on Monday, killing his 62-year-old wife, police said. [1]

Police said Miu lost control of the car at 4:41am, sending it into traffic cones and a kiosk before it tipped onto its side. Both people were trapped inside and firefighters rescued them from the vehicle. [1]

Yeung, the passenger and Miu’s wife, was unconscious when she was taken to hospital. She died at Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung at 6:16am from multiple injuries. [1]

Miu suffered limb injuries and was conscious when medics took him to the same hospital. Police arrested him for allegedly causing death by dangerous driving. [1]
