Nintendo officially revealed a new color scheme for its Joy-Con 2 controllers featuring a blue left and light yellow right controller, inspired by the Deep Cut team from Splatoon. The announcement came on June 10, 2026, following news reports the day before that previewed the controllers ahead of the official reveal [1, 2, 3].

The new Joy-Con 2 controllers will be available starting July 23, 2026, the same day as the launch of the Splatoon Raiders game. Nintendo set the price for the pair at $99.99 in the US. Preorders are now open through Nintendo's official store and Best Buy [1, 2, 3].

Unlike earlier Joy-Con 2 color sets such as lavender/light green released in February 2026 and light blue/light red released in May 2025, the new controllers have mostly black outer casings, with the blue and light yellow colors appearing on the inner sections and joystick rings. Customers can buy the Joy-Con 2 controllers either as pairs or individually [1, 2, 3].

Nintendo is also preparing a Splatoon Raiders Direct presentation for June 30, 2026, which will provide more details about the upcoming game. An IGN report noted, "Another thing to keep in mind that was announced during June's Nintendo Direct is that a Splatoon Raiders Direct is also set for June 30" [1].

The new controllers and the Splatoon Raiders game will both launch on July 23, 2026, marking a coordinated release for the console and its accessories [1, 2, 3].
