China Eastern Airlines said an Airbus A350-900 struck a boarding bridge on arrival at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on May 2 after a mechanical malfunction while the jet was taxiing slowly to the gate. The airline said the collision was minor and all passengers were safe. [1]

The carrier said the flight crew handled the incident according to established procedures and passengers disembarked in an orderly way. China Eastern also apologised to passengers for the disruption. “The flight crew immediately handled it according to established procedures.
